Job Overview
A client in the motor industry is looking for a young, self-starting CIMA or CA with 5 years post-graduate experience to be a Financial Manager for 9 subsidiaries.
Experience/Qualifications:
- CIMA or Chartered Accountant – CA (SA) qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Proven experience / demonstrable track record in managing the Finance function of SME’s (ideally not large corporate).
- Experience within the motor industry may be advantageous but is not necessary.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Self-starter.
- Problem-solver.
- Good team-player.
- Driver’s license and ability to travel domestically as needed.
Duties:
- The candidate will report directly to the Group CFO and will be responsible for the full finance function across the 9 entities.
- Generate consolidated financial reports and analysis on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Detailed analysis of the cash requirements of the business.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures, and systems across all teams.
- Be the Finance systems expert for the company developing its effectiveness, accuracy, and integration.
- Compliance with all mandated international tax registrations and statutory requirements.
- Manage and co-ordinate the audit process.
- Develop and implement key strategic projects, specifically around cost optimization.
- Ensure better financial understanding, control, and productivity throughout the value chain.
- Build partnerships across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
